Listening Garden

Mughal x Eduardo SarabiaGuadalajara, México, 2026

During Guadalajara Art Week, Listening Garden took shape at Eduardo Sarabia’s studio as an immersive space where art, sound, and design converge.

The project introduced a collection of handcrafted rugs by Mughal, developed in collaboration with the artist. This limited edition of handwoven landscapes translates Sarabia’s visual language into textile form, merging his iconography with Mughal’s tradition of craftsmanship. Installed throughout the space, the pieces functioned both as utilitarian objects and as sculptural elements.

Sound was integral to the experience. Powered by Proyectos Especiales—a local platform specializing in high-end audio systems—the exhibition was activated through a curated program of guest DJs, creating an evolving sonic atmosphere that invited visitors to engage through listening as much as through viewing.

Following its opening on Thursday, January 29, Listening Garden remained open to the public over the weekend, with a series of Listening Sessions designed for a more intimate and focused encounter.

Listening Garden ultimately proposed a more sensorial way of experiencing art—through sound, material presence, and shared attention.
